This past Sunday(03/20/2022) at church was discussed Mathew Chapter 5. An I felt it was something that i have been looking to hear about. I felt it help me to clarify my doubts about personal behavior, and gave more ideas how to see each of the cases.

I recently read a book called Mañana by Justo Gonzalez, which is about theology from a Latin American perspective. A great read. This quote challenged the belief that I frequently come across that the church should be "a-political.": "The problem is that if it is true that human beings are political animals, then everything that we do has a political context and political consequences. Thus the 'apolitical' Christianity that many advocate is in truth a Christianity that supports the politics that exist, the power if those who are presently powerful." Gonzalez believes this is the problem with anti-political readings of the Bible. What do you think? Is it even possible or desirable to avoid politics in the church?

In fact anyone who is hostile on the forum will be banned (banning process listed below). All opinions are welcome as long as communicated in a mature, non-hostile manner. 3. All posts will be monitored and any harmful/hostile post will be taken down by forum administrators. The process of banning includes: 1. 1-time rule-breaking direct message and discussion 2. 2-times rule-breaking time out for 72 hours 3. 3-times rule-breaking will result in banning from the site 4. For bigotry or hate speech there is immediate banning.
